I was born in June 2005 in Somerset at a place called Stormfield Briards. I come from a long line of champion Briards and my breeders, Max and Storm, made sure I had the best start in life.
Unfortunately, my first owners had three small children and thought I might become too big for them to cope wih me, so they took me to the vet when I was just over a year old. The vet thought I was too nice to be put to sleep, so he found me a new home with some new human staff and an Otterhound called Archie, who became my best friend.
My new owners loved me lots but, sadly, fell out with each other and their new partners didn't want to live with me. (Dad says he'd have kept me and got rid of the partner!) So, by the end of 2008 I was looking for another new home.
A nice lady called Sheila from British Briard Club Rescue was told about me and kept an eye out for someone special who could give me a forever home. Sheila is always helping other Briards like me and I can put her in touch if you contact me at the top of the page.
So that's when Dad came along and took me to live with him in the wonderful land of Wales. I moved here in November 2008 and I think I've really fallen on my paws this time. It's a great place to live with lovely fields, rabbits to chase and big lakes for me to go paddling in with lots of geese and swans in desperate need of herding.
Dad says I'm stuck with him for good now and I won't have to start over again with any more new staff. I do hope so, I've just about got him trained!
